About Us

The idea for the business byDanae was created by one look in the supermarket. All I could see was single use plastic and waste that was not necessary. As I got home, I noticed all of the things wrapped plastic. The shampoo and conditioner bottles, dish soap, deodorant, lip balm and so many other things that we simple to make by hand; and it didn't use any packaging or nasty ingredients!  So I started creating my own products that didn't create any single use plastic waste and used ingredients that knew were non toxic and healthy for my body. I was inspired by the benefits of creating a few of my own products and decided to start expanding so that others can benefit from this way of living too!  Even if it just meant to save a few cardboard boxes, and a plastic bag. 

I am still overjoyed from every order that I can process knowing that there was little waste produced, and that a portion of your purchase contributes towards cleaning the oceans of the plastic waste that we have used before. I started this business with soap, but I hope on day to expand further to beauty and body products such as makeup and lotions. I am so grateful for this opportunity to share my passion, and I hope you like the products!

All of our soaps are handmade with pure, raw materials. Ethically and sustainably sourced, these soaps are handmade with care and quality. All soaps are made with beneficial ingredients such as enriching clays, minerals, natural additives, oils and butters, that are sustainably sourced bettering our customers health and wellbeing.

Affordability: We believe that changing our customers habits to be more sustainable and  environmentally friendly is more important than having financial success. We want to be able to reach out to all demographics, so we have very affordable prices, compared to the value of the product. 

Environment: We, stewards of the earth, here at byDanae we believe that it is important that we are good to the environment; taking the necessary steps to be plastic-free and environmentally friendly. We have taken steps to donate 15% of our profits towards 5Gyres, a company that extracts and prevents plastic from being put in the ocean. As well as using 100% post consumer recycled  packaging. 

Quality: We stand behind our products. Every product you will receive you can depend on it being high quality and full of real ingredients that will not harm you or the environment. Natural and ethically sourced clay, oils and additives. 

The Ocean Cleanup: 

We believe that single-use plastic is the most urgent environmental issue. The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit that designs and develops cleanup technology to clean up what is already polluting our oceans and to intercept plastic on its way to the ocean via rivers. Because we care more about the environment, than financial success, we have chosen to independently support The Ocean Cleanup and will donate 15% of our profit so that we can help fund their plastic clean ups.
